Inner-gize your life by following after Jesus!
DO YOU KNOW JESUS PERSONALLY?
IT'S AS SIMPLE AS A, B, C, AND D.......
A. ADMIT you are a sinner and ask God to forgive you. Psalm 32:5 says, “Then I confessed my sins to You. I didn’t hide my guilt. I said, ‘I will confess my sins to the Lord.’ And You forgave my guilt.”
B. BELIEVE Jesus died, was buried, and was resurrected for your sin debt. 1 Corinthians 15:3–5 says, “I passed on to you what I received. And this was the most important: that Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say; that He was buried and was raised to life on the third day as the Scriptures say; and that He showed Himself to Peter and then to the twelve apostles.”
C. CONFESS Jesus is Lord of your life. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from death, then you will be saved.”
D. DO what God says by reading the Bible and letting the Holy Spirit guide you. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Do the best you can to be the kind of person that God will approve, and give yourself to Him. Be a worker who is not ashamed of his work—a worker who uses the true teaching in the right way.”
PRAY: Dear God, I admit I am a sinner; please forgive me. I believe Jesus, Your Son, died on the cross, was buried, and that You raised Him from the dead for my sins. I call upon the name of Jesus Christ and trust Him as my Savior today. I want to make Him Lord of my life. Thank You for saving me. Help me to learn more about You by reading Your Word. I pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
Inner-gize your mind when you renew your thoughts with the Word of God.
Romans 12:2 tells us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
A lot of people have found the Bible worth reading over the centuries. But in today’s world, social media has taken us away from the importance of reading the Word of God and renewing our minds.
God’s Word is truth. In a world where so many are confused by truth or lies, fact or fiction, actuality or deception…. God’s Word stands alone. It should be where we turn to first…. Before tv, social media, or even our friends.
The Bible has the power to change your life and help you become the person God wants you to be! Why? Because Hebrews 4:12 tells us, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
I want to encourage you to send time in God’s Word. Read it and learn from it. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, "20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.
21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.
Many have debated if there is a difference between the soul and spirit.
God’s Word clearly shows us that the soul and spirit are separate entities. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
YOUR SOUL is part of your inner-life that includes your heart, your will, your imagination, your passions, and your senses. It is the part of your humanity that makes you feel emotions.
The soul tends to be self-centered because of sin and free will, whereas the spirit was created for eternity with God, and exclusively to communicate, interact, and commune with God while here on earth.
Although everyone's soul is an active part of life, it’s not the same for everyone’s spirit. Due to the great fall caused by Adam’s sin, his spirit died and he was separated from God. But God had a plan to redeem not only Adam but all of mankind through His Son, Jesus. Only through Christ can our spirits be reconciled to God.
Clearly, the spirit and soul are not the same.
